This course is designed to give you the satisfaction of building a beautiful, professional-quality instrument in a compressed timeframe. Unlike other classes, you'll be supplied with top-quality, pre-milled parts, which allows you to focus on the intricate and skill-based aspects of lutherie. You'll work with premium Sitka spruce and Honduran mahogany to create a stunning dreadnought-style guitar with elegant herringbone purfling. Ken Bailey will guide you step-by-step, providing expert demonstrations and hands-on instruction. He’ll demystify the art of guitar-making and equip you with the essential skills you need to build a great-sounding instrument. Over seven days, the class will cover: -Assembly and bracing: Learn how to precisely join the body and install the scalloped bracing for optimal tone. -Neck shaping, fretwork, and setup: Master the critical skills of shaping the neck, installing frets, and performing a professional guitar setup. -Finishing and inlay: Apply the finishing touches that make your guitar truly unique.
